Causing harm by posting digital communication — Harmful Digital Communications Act 2015, s 22. The defendant was sentenced to two months' home detention for the offending, which involved posting a nude image of a former partner on social media. On one occasion the name and address of the complainant was also posted. The offence under the Harmful Digital Communications Act carries a maximum sentence of a term of imprisonment not exceeding two years or a fine not exceeding $50,000.
