Division of relationship property — chattels division — Property (Relationships) Act 1976. In this final settlement the Judge noted the need for final end to proceedings given the significant damage to the children as a result of the exceptional intensity of the conflict between the parents. Each parent having one child remaining in their care. This long-standing conflict had been characterised by a very high-level of disharmony occasioning the Judge in previous hearings to set very clear terms of transfer of property, what was required to enable settlement of the wife's purchase of the family home and clear directions in respect to removal of chattels and possessions from the former family home. All outstanding issues were determined and costs set in the expectation that all matters in respect of property were concluded between the parties. The applicant was ordered to pay the respondent $11,147.39, the remaining funds owing for her purchase of the family home. Respondent was to pay $6753 to the applicant for chattels damaged or taken wrongfully plus costs.
