Relocation overseas — Care of Children Act 2004, ss 4, 5 and 6 — Kacem v Bashir [2010] NZSC 112 — Stadnickzenco v Stadnickzenco [1995] NZFLR 493 (CA) — D v S [2002] NZFLR 115 (CA). Child was to relocate overseas to live with mother, safety concerns having been considered (s 5). The judge weighed up safety concerns relating to both the mother and the father and found that the long-term risks posed by staying with the father were greater than those posed by the mother.
