R v Collier [2017] NZDC 16473

Aggravated robbery — breach release conditions — breach intensive supervision — sentencing. The two defendants went to an address under the mistaken belief that the house was a drug house and "intended to rip it off". The defendants entered the front flat and spoke to the people inside. The first defendant demanded drugs and when told by the victims that they don't do drugs he punched one of the victims in the face, forced him to the floor and stomped on his head. The second defendant went through the bedrooms filling bags with various items. The first defendant received a discount for his guilty plea and was sentenced to five years' imprisonment. The second defendant received a discount for his guilty plea and was sentenced to three years and seven months' imprisonment. Judgment Date: 26 July 2017
