The defendant was sentenced having pleaded guilty to two charges: assault with a weapon; and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. The defendant received a discount for his guilty plea and a willingness to participate in restorative justice. A sentence of four years and 11 months' imprisonment was given.
