Unlawful possession of a firearm — possession of ammunition — possession of cannabis — receiving — supply of methamphetamine — drugs — drug dealing — sentencing — forfeiture — Arms Act 1983, s 69 — Misuse of Drugs Act 1975, s 32. The defendant was sentenced having accepted a sentencing indication on charges relating to the possession of cannabis, firearms and the supply of methamphetamine. The court took a starting point of five years and six months' imprisonment on the lead charge of supply of methamphetamine, and applied an uplift to reflect the three firearm charges and previous similar offending. The defendant was sentenced to a term of imprisonment of five years and six months' with a minimum period of imprisonment of 40 per cent. The court ordered the forfeiture of the firearms, taser and cannabis found at the defendant's property. Judgment Date: 1 November 2017.
