Sentencing — burglary. The defendant broke into an eyewear retail shop with a rock and removed approximately $8,000.00 worth of merchandise. The defendant was identified and accepted responsibility for the burglary. Reparation was sought for the glasses that were unable to be recovered, and to repair the damage done by the defendant to displays. The defendant had previous relevant convictions which were taken into account on sentencing. The court took into account the defendant's health which saw the sentence reduced by a small amount. The defendant was sentenced to a total of two years' imprisonment.
