Sentencing — aggravated robbery — Molia v R [2013] NZCA 512. The defendant and an associate entered a convenience store, presented a BB pistol and demanded that the victim empty money from the cash registers into a bag. The defendant and his associate were disguised using their hoods. Reparation for the loss of $1500 was sought by the victim. The court took into account the defendant's late expression of remorse and his acceptance of responsibility for the offending. The defendant was sentenced to a term of imprisonment of three years and four months. Judgment Date: 3 May 2017.
