Application to inspect court records — adoption — Adoption Act 1995, s 23. The applicant asked to inspect court records relating to a person that she believed to be her sister. The court found in line with past case law. As the applicant was neither the adopted person, nor the natural parent the applicant and therefore could not view the confidential information that she wished to view. The court declined the applicant, and further declined to instruct a social worker to make contact with the adopted person that the application was about.
