Oral judgment — relocation — Care of Children Act 2004. The issue before the court was whether the children should be allowed to relocate to a different city with one parent. The court noted that the children were both well-loved and well-cared for. The court analysed the advantages and disadvantages of the potential relocation in terms of financial advantages, accommodation, employment opportunities, family support, the children's identity and the relationship with each parent. The court ultimately decided that the risk to the relationship between the children and their father must outweigh the benefit to the relationship with the grandparents in the proposed location. The application to relocate the children was declined. Judgment Date: 12 June 2017 * * * Note: Names have been changed to comply with legal requirements * * *
