Alleged abduction — lawyer conflict of interest — Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. Lawyer for child was discharged having appropriately notified the Court as to a conflict of interest. Mother submitted that father had abducted the child to Australia. Matter adjourned for Central Authority to notify Court whether an application would be made for the child’s return under the Hague Convention. Mother was “manifestly incapable” of caring for the child’s best interests, which would be the primary consideration if the child was returned. **Note: names have been changed to comply with legal requirements.
