Unequal sharing — extraordinary circumstances — Property (Relationships) Act 1976, ss 2E and 13. It was determined that no de facto relationship existed prior to marriage, and that the marriage, which lasted three years and six months should not be treated as one of short duration having regard to all the circumstances (s 2E). Despite that, there were extraordinary circumstances which made equal sharing of relationship property repugnant to justice (s 13). These circumstances included disparity in capital contributed to the relationship, disparity in age and the financial situation of the parties. Judgment Date: 10 October 2016.
