Application for limited licence — Land Transport Act 1998, ss 103–105. The applicant had been suspended from driving for three months and sought a limited licence on the ground of extreme hardship. The applicant alleged that his insurance company refused to cover an alternative driver for his Aston Martin, and not being able to drive his car during the suspension was "a really bad look". The Judge considered the meaning of "extreme hardship" from case law and determined that the applicant had not met that threshold. The Judge was cautious about aspects of the applicant's affidavits, and as this was the applicant's second period of suspension, taking into account the income and assets of the applicant it was not appropriate to grant the application. Judgment Date: 15 June 2016.
