Dispute over loan agreement — property transactions — interest. This proceeding determined liability for loans made in relation to two property transactions. Having determined the competing claims regarding loan amounts and repayments, the end result was that defendant Zhang was to pay Mr Cao $1,366.78 for a difference in amount owed regarding one of the properties, and $23,000 in outstanding loans. Interest of 5 percent was awarded on the $23,000 from the date of filing the claim to the date of payment. Mr Cao was entitled to costs. Judgment Date: 24 August 2016.
