Leave to appear and be heard at appeal — Building Act 2004, s 210 — District Courts Rules 2014, r 18.18. The Chief Executive was granted leave to be represented and heard at an appeal against his determination that the appellant either earthquake strengthen or demolish its building. The Judge determined the application under r 18.18, but commented on s 210 of the Building Act. The Judge stated that the Chief Executive has an overarching supervisory function and the statutory framework recognises the need for the Chief Executive's input on appeal. Judgment Date: 7 November 2016.
