Property (Relationships) Act 1976. An order was made for division of relationship property, but suspended for 48 hours to allow the parties to resolve the matter themselves. The parties reached an agreement, and an addendum to the judgment was added suspending the order until settlement of that agreement. The Judge observed that there was little dispute as to what constituted relationship property; a two year impasse in which matters were not settled being attributable in part to the respondent’s feeling aggrieved by the applicant’s contribution to the relationship and the provisions of the Act. **Note: names have been changed to comply with legal requirements.
