The applicant applied for a declaration on his birth certificate showing her as female. She had been born a male but was now in her seventies and had undergone hormone therapy and gender reassignment surgery. The Judge was satisfied, based on the medical evidence and submissions from the applicant and support person, that the applicant wished to continue living as her nominated sex.
