The defendant appeared for sentence on charges of possession of methamphetamine for supply, sale or supply of methamphetamine, possession of cannabis and possession of ammunition. She had sold between $8000 and $30,000 worth of drugs in the month prior to her arrest. The offending fell into band 2 of R v Zhang. Although the defendant had drug problems of her own, her offending was mainly financially motivated. The start point for sentence was six years' imprisonment.
