Application for order — compulsory treatment order — Substance Addition (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Act 2017, ss 7, 8, 9 & 75. The applicant sought a compulsory treatment order (CTO) in respect of the subject person. The subject person agreed with and consented to the application. The Court heard evidence from medical professionals, which helped to establish that the subject person met the criteria for compulsory treatment: he had a severe substance addiction and impaired capacity to make rational decisions relating to his treatment. There was a facility available that had the capacity to treat the subject person. The Court granted the application, making a CTO for the subject person.
