The appellant sought to appeal a New Zealand police decision that revoked his gun license. A gun license is granted if the person applying was deemed to be a fit and proper person. The police have the power to revoke a license if the person is not deemed fit and proper. The appellant had had several driving infringements and offenses such as speeding and driving with excess breath alcohol which led to fines, demerits and disqualifications. The Court found that the appellant's driving history was material and serious as it showed his immaturity. The appeal was dismissed. Judgment Date: 1 May 2023.
