International child maintenance — Family Proceedings Act 1980, ss 145 and 145C — United Nations Convention on the Recovery Abroad of Maintenance. An application for maintenance was granted with the respondent to pay $250 per week for the maintenance of his two children in Ireland. Additionally, $22,000 was awarded as a lump sum for past maintenance the respondent had not paid. The orders were made following the Court recognising jurisdiction under s 145 and consideration of the factors in s 145C. **Note: names have been changed to comply with legal requirements.
