Division of relationship property — Property (Relationships) Act 1976, ss 2G and 18B — X v X [Economic disparity] [2010] NZLR 601. Orders for division of relationship property were made where one party had remained in the family home for over 10 years and taken on the day-to-day care of the children. Among other orders, a $60,000 adjustment was made in favour of that party for care of the children from 1995 to 2011. The Judge in exercising the discretion granted by s 18B, considered the principles set out in the case “X v X” as well as other case law.
