Order preventing removal — expiry — Care of Children Act 2004, ss 6, 77 and 77A — New Zealand Bill of Rights Act 1990, s 18. It was determined that an order preventing removal of a child who had turned 16 had expired on his sixteenth birthday pursuant to s 77A as no special circumstances existed. In relation to the younger child, the order preventing removal was replaced with a final parenting order which included conditions requiring for notice to be given for upcoming travel. A bond would also be required for travel to any country not a signatory to the Hague Convention.
