Sentencing — burglary — methamphetamine addiction — drug offending — theft — reparation. The defendant appeared for sentence on six charges of burglary and some minor drug offences. The Judge adopted a starting sentence of 45 months' imprisonment. This was uplifted by six months for the defendant's previous burglary convictions. A 25 per cent reduction was given for the defendant's early guilty plea, taking the sentence back to 39 months. A further three month reduction was given for personal circumstances for an end sentence of three years' imprisonment. Judgment Date: 10 January 2020.
