Mode of evidence application —giving evidence behind a screen —Evidence Act 2006 ss 103, 105 and 107. Pursuant to s 107 of the Act the complainants were directed to give evidence in the ordinary way (including cross-examination and re-examination). The informal, youth focussed nature of the specialist Youth Court would ensure fairness of the proceedings for the young persons without unduly inhibiting the recovery needs of the victims.
