Adoption — order for adoption. The applicants sought an adoption order in relation to the child. The issue was whether the responsibilities of her paternal family were to be enshrined in a parenting order. The Court considered that more consultation with the paternal family was required and decided to make an interim order only, although observing that the applicants were fit and proper people. The Court also ruled that the child's name be changed to reflect the family unit in which she would be living. A case management review was ordered to occur in six weeks' time. Judgment Date: 9 August 2021. * * * Note: names have been changed to comply with legal requirements. * * *
