Application on behalf of minor — appointment of representative of minor — application for protection order against wishes of child — Family Court Rules 2002, rr 34 (c), 90B and 90C — Domestic Violence Act 1995, s 9 — Care of Children Act 2004. The court rescinded an order made appointing the parent of a young person as that young person's representative. The representative wished to make an application on behalf of the young person under the Domestic Violence Act that was against the wishes of the young person. The court found that it would be a legal nonsense to appoint a person to make an application that a minor does not want. Judgment Date: 27 January 2017. * * * Note: Names have been changed to comply with legal requirements * * *
