Supplying methamphetamine — supplying cannabis oil — selling cannabis — drugs — sentencing — R v Fatu [2006] 2 NZLR 72. The defendant was sentenced on two representative charges of supplying methamphetamine, one of supplying cannabis oil and of selling cannabis. The court noted that the use of the defendant's children on occasions to deal methamphetamine was not included in the summary of facts and therefore not included in the sentencing indication calculations in determining the starting point. The court found that it was unfair on the defendant to modify the sentencing indication that had been accepted to account for that new information coming to light. The defendant was accordingly sentenced in line with the indication that she had accepted to a term of three years' and three months' imprisonment. Judgment Date: 2 February 2018
