Sentencing — aggravated robbery — getaway driver. The defendant appeared for sentencing on two charges of aggravated robbery. The defendant and her partner committed two aggravated robberies, where the defendant served as the getaway driver. The Judge noted that although all the parties involved are equally guilty legally, the defendant as the getaway driver, had no real control of what was going to happen inside the victim's house in relation to what happened in the house or the extent of the violence. The Judge began with a starting point of five and half years' imprisonment, but made reductions for remorse, the EM bail, the prospect the defendant may have been under the thrall of her partner and the pleas, which shortened the trial. The Judge sentenced the defendant to four years' imprisonment on each robbery, served concurrently. Judgment Date: 2 February 2018.
