Male rapes female — indecent act — unlawful sexual connection — sexual assault — sentencing. The defendant pleaded guilty, halfway through the complainant's evidence-in-chief, to charges of doing an offensive act upon a young person, sexual violation by rape, and sexual violation by unlawful sexual connection. Aggravating features include planning and premeditation, the breach of trust, the vulnerability of the victim, and the harm to her. The court found that this offending fell within the bottom end of band 2 of R v AM and the defendant was sentenced to six years' imprisonment.
