The defendant appeared for sentence having pleaded guilty and accepted a sentencing indication for the eight charges of possessing and dealing in class A, B and C drugs, as well as a charge of unlawful possession of ammunition. The defendant was stopped by police due to his irregular driving. Police found six live ammunition rounds, 123.55 grams of cannabis, scales, cash and a glass pipe. Police obtained orders allowing access to the defendant's cellphone records which showed evidence of supplying methamphetamine and cannabis oil to various associates. The sentencing indication provided for an overall starting point of four years and six months' imprisonment for the drug offending. The defendant was granted a 10 per cent discount for his addiction and mental health issues and the preliminary steps he had taken to address them, as well as 20 per cent for his guilty pleas. The end sentence was three years and two months' imprisonment. Judgment Date: 8 April 2019.
